Guatemala is small but roads are slow. Antigua and Lake Atitlán form the highland chapter, Tikal and Flores the northern one; Semuc Champey needs its own days in Alta Verapaz.

Practical thinking for a better-paced first plan.
Guatemala is small but roads are slow. Antigua and Lake Atitlán form the highland chapter, Tikal and Flores the northern one; Semuc Champey needs its own days in Alta Verapaz.
Flores has an airport with flights from Guatemala City, which saves a long overland day. Tikal is a short road trip from the island town, and early starts give the best light and cooler air.
Roads do not circle Lake Atitlán, so boats link its villages. Give it at least two nights and choose one or two villages as a base instead of trying to see them all.
The dry season, roughly November to April, is easiest for roads and views; the highlands are cooler and the lowlands hot. Entry rules depend on your passport, so check them before booking.
